UNICAM Joins Axis Developer Programme
UNICAM joins the Axis Developer Programme.
Axis is a global leader in network IP cameras and UNICAM is proud to be part of their developer ecosystem. The UNICAM video capture platform now supports the Axis V59 series. This camera helps further extends the capability of the UNICAM platform.
UNICAM users can now pre-set a camera position for scheduled recordings to start from, so that the recording starts for example, from a wide angle that includes lecturer and presentation area. This avoids the scenario where otherwise the recording may start from the position it was left in by the previous user - perhaps it was left focused on the floor, or the ceiling.
The super powerful zoom capability in the V59 also makes it an ideal choice for recording detailed work such as suturing skills at nursing school, or soldering skills in school of electronic engineering. Both these scenarios are commonplace in Dublin City University (DCU) where UNICAM, together with the Axis V59 is used by both staff and students.
UNICAM continues to work within the Axis developer ecosystem to investigate other cameras that can be leveraged to expand the features available in the UNICAM video capture platform. We will keep you updated.
